How it works
From your rental's details to a checklist your cleaner can follow.
1
Describe your rental
Set bedrooms, bathrooms, guests and amenities like a pool, hot tub or pets. The checklist builds itself room by room.
2
Make it yours
Rename, reorder or remove any task, add your own, and adjust the restock and linen list to your par levels.
3
Hand it to your cleaner
Copy a link your cleaner opens on their phone to tick tasks off, or print it with a scan code that opens the same checklist.
Use it with your cleaner
Paper, phone, or both: the same checklist either way.
Print it
A clean printout with tick boxes, the restock list and a sign-off block for the cleaner's name and any damage. The scan code in the corner opens the same checklist on a phone.
Share a link
Send the link by message. Your cleaner gets a tick-off view with big tap targets and a progress bar. Ticks stay on their phone until they tap Reset ticks for the next turnover.
Keep it saved
Your checklist is saved in this browser automatically, so next turnover you only change what's different. Nothing is sent to our servers.
A turnover checklist guide
What to clean, what guests notice, and how much to restock.
Turnover clean vs. deep clean
A turnover clean is what happens between every stay: strip and remake the beds, reset the kitchen and bathrooms, restock the basics and walk through the whole place as if you were the next guest. It has to be fast and repeatable, which is exactly what a written checklist is for.
A deep clean covers the things a turnover skips: inside the oven and cupboards, behind the fridge, curtains, mattress protectors, grout and vents. Many hosts schedule one between seasons or after a run of long stays. Switch the generator to Deep clean and those tasks are added to every room.
What guests actually notice
Guests rarely comment on a spotless oven, but they always notice hair in the shower, a stain on a pillowcase, crumbs in the cutlery drawer, a smell from the bin or an empty toilet roll holder. Those are the details that turn a five-star stay into a four-star review.
That's why the checklist ends with a final walkthrough: set the thermostat, check the WiFi works, lock the windows, reset the lock or lockbox and take photos of the finished rooms. Photos also settle any question about the state the place was left in.
Planning your restock and linen
The restock list is worked out from your guest and room counts: linen sets per bed, towels per guest, spare toilet paper per bathroom, and kitchen, laundry, pool or pet supplies when you have them. Treat the numbers as a starting point and adjust them to what your cleaner actually needs on site.
A common approach is to keep at least two full sets of linen per bed, one on the bed and one ready to go, so a turnover never waits for the laundry. Your changes stay with your checklist until the guest or room count changes.

Frequently asked questions
Is this cleaning checklist generator free?
Yes. It's free with no sign-up, no email and no limit. Build as many checklists as you like, share them and print them.
Can I edit the tasks?
Yes. You can rename, reorder or remove any task, add your own tasks to any room, restore a room to its defaults, and change the restock quantities.
How do I share the checklist with my cleaner?
Tap or click Copy link (or Share) and send the link. It opens a tick-off view on your cleaner's phone. You can also print the checklist; the scan code on the printout opens the same view.
Who can read a shared checklist link?
Anyone who has the link can open and read that checklist, so don't put door codes, lockbox codes or alarm codes in your tasks. The checklist is stored in the link itself, not on our servers.
Can I see when my cleaner has finished?
Not with the free tool. Your cleaner's ticks are saved only on their phone, so you can't see their progress remotely. Ask them to send a photo of the finished rooms or of the signed printout. Ticks stay until the cleaner taps Reset ticks, so ask them to reset before each new turnover if you reuse the same link.
Is my checklist saved?
Yes, in your browser, automatically. It won't be there if you clear your browsing data or switch devices, and some browsers, like Safari, clear it if you don't visit for a week. Copy the link or print it if you want a backup.
How do I save it as a PDF?
Click Print / PDF and choose Save as PDF as the destination in your browser's print dialog. The printout includes tick boxes, the restock list and a sign-off block.
What's the difference between a cleaning checklist and a turnover checklist?
For short-term rentals they mean almost the same thing. A turnover checklist covers everything between two stays: cleaning, restocking and a final walkthrough. This generator builds a turnover checklist and adds deep-clean tasks when you need them.
Spotless stays earn 5-star reviews.
Turn those reviews into commission-free direct bookings with your own booking website.
