Cast a line or float the current just steps away, then gather ’round the fire pit as the Montana sky lights up. A full kitchen and bonus guest house keep everyone comfortable. Yellowstone & the Beartooth Highway are an easy drive. The space Star Haven Lodge is a 2,612-square-foot log home set right on the Stillwater River in Absarokee, Montana. The main level is all warm knotty pine, hardwood floors, and vaulted ceilings, with a river-rock gas fireplace anchoring the open living area. The kitchen is built for gathering, with a gas range, engineered stone countertops, and a massive breakfast bar that seats a crowd. Upstairs, a skylit loft makes a bright, private retreat. Step out to two decks above the water, perfect for morning coffee or an evening by the fire pit. The public fishing and boat access is a short walk across the bridge, and a separate guest house keeps bigger groups from feeling crowded. Fishing and rafting are popular just across the bridge at the public access, and a rafting outfitter in Absarokee runs guided trips. This is moving water, though, so safety is each guest's Other things to note It is bug season (yah!). We provide a yard in the cabinet above the welcome area. It’s called Wondercide. Attach it to the house at the back of the house and spray the yard down for hours of no bugs.
